Jordan Spieth, the world's top-ranked golfer, shot a 4-under-par 67 on Thursday to share the early first-round lead at the Singapore Open.
Byeong-Hun An of South Korea also opened with a 67 at Sentosa Golf Club. An, 24, was the European Tour's Rookie of the Year in 2015.

Spieth finished his round with four birdies and no bogeys.
Last week, Spieth finished in a tie for fifth at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in his first event of the new year. On his website, Spieth lists his first U.S.-based tournament of 2016 as the Valspar Championship, March 10-13 in Palm Harbor, Fla.
Spieth won the Masters and the U.S. Open last year, and he tied for fourth in the Open Championship and came in second at the PGA Championship.
