Washington Redskins hire Greg Manusky as OLB coach

The Washington Redskins hired Greg Manusky to coach the outside linebackers, the team announced Friday.

Manusky has 27 seasons of NFL experience - 12 as a player and 15 as a coach. He previously had a one-year stint as Washington's linebackers coach in 2001.

Manusky has served as an NFL defensive coordinator for the past nine seasons. He was in charge of San Francisco's defense from 2007-10 and ran San Diego's defense in 2011 before spending the past four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts fired Manusky after the 2015 season.
