Indianapolis Colts hire Joe Philbin as offensive line coach

Joe Philbin, who was fired as the Miami Dolphins head coach on Oct. 5, was hired as the Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach, the Colts announced Friday.

Philbin spent four seasons as the head coach of the Dolphins and he compiled a 24-28 record in Miami. The Dolphins were 1-3 this season when Philbin was dismissed.


Prior to joining the Dolphins, Philbin coached nine seasons (2003-2011) for the Green Bay Packers, where he served as offensive coordinator (2007-2011), offensive line coach (2006), tight ends/assistant offensive line (2004-05) and assistant offensive line (2003).
