Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson has been named to the 2016 Pro Bowl as a replacement for injured Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, the NFL announced Thursday.

Robinson had 80 receptions for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. The scoring receptions are the most in franchise history and tied for the most in the NFL this season with Seattle's Doug Baldwin and New York Jets' standout Brandon Marshall.

Johnson played through an ankle injury over the second half of the season and still had 88 receptions for 1,214 yards and nine touchdowns.

Johnson, 30, is reportedly considering retirement.

The 22-year-old Robinson was initially passed over for a Pro Bowl spot despite his breakthrough campaign.

"It's definitely an honor, but no individual success comes without the help of amazing teammates and coaches," Robinson said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to the experience in Hawaii and the opportunity to be around so many of the great talents of our league."

Robinson's 1,400 yards were sixth-most in the NFL this season. The only Jacksonville player to accumulate more receiving yardage in a season is Jimmy Smith (1,636 in 1999).
