Right-hander Edwin Jackson signed a one-year deal with the Miami Marlins.

Jackson's salary is $13 million in 2016, but the Marlins will pay him only the league minimum of $507,500. Jackson was released by the Chicago Cubs in August in the third year of his deal, and his former team will pay the remaining portion of his $13 million salary.
