DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh denied a report on NFL Network that said he basically laid down the law to his teammates in a private meeting.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Suh told his teammates: "I run this defense, I'm going to be here for the next five years, there is no guarantee any of you will be as well. Only a handful of guys are good enough to play with me right now.'".

"He also said the schemes were not good enough, the techniques were not enough and everyone needed to be better, he said 'follow me,'"

Rappaport reported.

Suh, when asked after the New York Jets game if the report was true, said, "No."

Suh was further asked if he said anything close to what was reported.

"No," he replied. "Next question."

--Rookie guard-center Jamil Douglas, the Dolphins fourth-round choice from Arizona State, was pressed into duty at center against the New York Jets after starter Mike Pouncey sustained a foot injury, and it didn't go well.

Douglas, who only started playing center a few weeks ago and made his debut at the position against Houston a few weeks ago, was charged with three fumbles due to bad snaps.

Interim coach Dan Campbell said considering Pouncey's condition they'll likely need to "get another center in the building," but seemed to indicate Douglas would keep the starting job for now.

--Center Mike Pouncey (foot) left Sunday's game against the New York Jets and didn't return. His status for Sunday's game against Baltimore isn't yet known. Interim coach Dan Campbell said, "I would say it's better than I thought it would be. We're just going have to see how he goes day to day."

--Wide receiver Rishard Matthews (ribs), injured during Sunday game against the New York Jets, doesn't seem likely to play this week against Baltimore, according to interim coach Dan Campbell. Matthews, one of the toughest players on the team, took a hard hit from strong safety Calvin Pryor.

--Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (calf) left Sunday's game and didn't return. He's considered day to day.

--Defensive tackle C.J. Mosley (calf) left Sunday's game and didn't return. He's considered day to day. The injuries to Mosley and DT Earl Mitchell could require the Dolphins to search the waiver wire.

--Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (arm/shoulder) left Sunday's game but returned. Phillips, the rookie second-round pick from Oklahoma, had his right arm in a sling Monday in the lockerroom but said he expects to play Sunday against Baltimore.

--Free Safety Walt Aikens, a fixture in the defense, especially the nickel package, all season, hardly played on Sunday. It seemed Aikens, who remained a core special teams player, might have been demoted.

--Running back Lamar Miller had only five carries for two yards Sunday against the New York Jets. Miller had three receptions for 11 yards but his eight touches are well below what the Dolphins need from one of their top playmakers.

--Wide receiver Jarvis Landry caught 13 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets. Landry, who was also nursing a knee injury, was relieved of most of his kickoff and punt return duties.

--Cornerback Brent Grimes had a rough time shadowing New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (nine receptions, 131 yards, two touchdowns). Grimes, the three-time Pro Bowl selection, also allowed a 100-yard game to Buffalo WR Sammy Watkins while shadowing him.

--Guard-center Jamil Douglas was charged with three fumbles while replacing Mike Pouncey against the New York Jets. It's unclear whether Douglas will keep the job this week against Baltimore.
