Arizona Cardinals strong safety Deone Bucannon was fined $23,152 for a hit on a defenseless receiver in last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bucannon hit wide receiver A.J. Green on a pass over the middle, but was not flagged on the play.

Bucannon is questionable for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers due to concussion-like symptoms. The first-round pick in 2014 is listed as a safety but generally plays linebacker for the Cardinals.

Bucannon said he began experiencing symptoms on Monday, the day after the Cardinals beat the Bengals 34-31. He began complaining of a headache after Wednesday's practice, which led the Cardinals to put the second-year player through the NFL's concussion protocol. Bucannon passed on Friday.

"It could possibly have happened in the game and (Wednesday) was the first time he worked out again and noticed it," coach Bruce Arians said Friday. "So that could've happened in the game, or happened in practice."
