No. 25 Texas A&M knocks off No. 10 Gonzaga

Danuel House scored 19 points, including the go-ahead free throw, as No. 25 Texas A&M upset No. 10 Gonzaga 62-61 on Thursday in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in Paradise Island, Bahamas, on Thursday.

House, a senior guard, made the first of two free throws with 1:05 left for the final margin. The Aggies (6-0) meet Syracuse in Friday's title game.

The Bulldogs got the ball back with 13.5 seconds left but guard Silas Melson missed a step-back 17-footer at the buzzer amid tight defense.

Texas A&M center Tonny Trocha-Morelos had 14 points and hit all four of his 3-point attempts, including one at the halftime buzzer for a 35-32 lead.

Gonzaga forward Kyle Wiltjer broke out of a shooting slump with 18 points and guard Josh Perkins scored all 15 of his points in the second half. Wiltjer, a potential All-American, opened the season 1 of 10 from 3-point range, but got hot early against the Aggies and made 4 of 8 from behind the arc.

Gonzaga post Domantas Sabonis, who was averaging 19.3 points and 10.0 rebounds, was limited by foul trouble, picking up his fourth with 11:31 to play. He finished with two points and four boards before fouling out with 2:39 to go.

Texas A&M had been winless in 26 consecutive games against Top 10 foes dating to January 2008.
