SAN DIEGO -- Chargers right guard D.J. Fluker sustained another concussion Sunday in San Diego's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

It was his second concussion in five days, prompting questions about how he was cleared so soon to resume play after getting hurt the Wednesday prior to the game.

Fluker has battled through a bad ankle and concussions this season, but has played more than most of the Chargers' lineman, save right tackle Joe Barksdale.

Fluker is in the concussion protocol, coach Mike McCoy said.

--The Chargers have 1 punt-return yard, which is thought be a record through 10 games -- for ineptness. Coach Mike McCoy cut short his Wednesday press conference when asked about the lousy return game.

--Wide receiver Malcom Floyd returned to practice. The mere sight of it brought with it a rare smile at Chargers Park. Floyd, who is retiring at the end of the year, hurt his shoulder on Nov. 9 against the Bears. Many thought he might not return.

Floyd still isn't taking contact, but it looks as if he is getting close.

"I'm anxious to get out there," he said.

--Former Chargers coach Don Coryell was named a finalist in the Pro Football Hall of Fame balloting.

--If the Chargers lose to the Jaguars, it would be San Diego's seventh consecutive loss, the team's worst skid since 2001.

--Wide receiver Malcom Floyd (shoulder) practiced but still could be out Sunday.

--Defensive tackle Sean Lissemore (concussion) left Sunday's game and didn't work Wednesday.

--Defensive tackle Corey Liuget (foot) didn't practice. He could be down this week.

--Safety Eric Weddle (groin) didn't work. He missed two games earlier this year with same injury.

--Tight end Antonio Gates (hip) was limited. It is the first time his knee hasn't been mentioned when he was on the injury list.

--Inside linebacker Manti Te'o (ankle) was limited. He likely will play Sunday.

--Strong safety Jahleel Addae (concussion) left Sunday's game but was a full practice participant Wednesday.

--Right tackle Joe Barksdale, the only Chargers offensive lineman to play in every game, had to exit Sunday with an hip injury.
