Rockies' Jose Reyes pleads not guilty to domestic abuse

All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes entered a not guilty plea in Hawaii court Tuesday on charges of domestic abuse.

Reyes, now a member of the Colorado Rockies was arrested Oct. 31 arrest and charged with domestic abuse.

Reyes was not present for Tuesday's hearing because his attorney, waived Reyes' presence.

A pretrial hearing is set for Jan. 14.

Reyes was at the Wailea Four Seasons resort on Maui after hotel security officials placed a 911 call.

According to a transcript of the 911 call released by Maui PD last week, the hotel security staff reported that Reyes' wife, Katherine Ramirez, had suffered injuries to her face, neck and leg.
