Sacramento forward DeMarcus Cousins was suspended for one game without pay on Thursday by the NBA after hitting Atlanta forward Al Horford in the head during Wednesday night's Kings-Hawks game in Atlanta.

With two minutes left in the first quarter, Cousins struck Horford with a forearm during the Hawks' 103-97 victory over the Kings in Philips Arena. The loss ended a three-game winning streak for Sacramento.
