The Dallas Cowboys are expected to sign former Seattle and Cleveland running back Robert Turbin, according to reports Wednesday.

The move comes one day after the Cowboys released former Seahawks running back Christine Michael.

Turbin, 25, played in three games for the Browns and carried the ball 18 times for 60 yards. The 5-foot-10, 222-pound Turbin was drafted by the Seahawks in 2012 out of Utah State.

Turbin had been the No. 2 running back during the Seahawks' back-to-back Super Bowl seasons in 2013 and 2014. He suffered a high ankle sprain late in the preseason. He was claimed off waivers by the Browns in September and was waived again on Nov. 10.

The Cowboys acquired Michael before the season in a trade with the Seahawks in exchange for an undisclosed 2016 NFL Draft pick. Michael, a former second-round draft pick, carried just 15 times for the Cowboys and rushed for 51 yards. His season high was 20 yards against the Seahawks in Week 8.
