Rams' Stedman Bailey nabbed for napping

By The Sports Xchange

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey indicated on Twitter that the NFL fined him for his nap celebration in the end zone after a third-quarter touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

After Bailey caught an 18-yard scoring pass from quarterback Nick Foles with 5:53 to go in the third quarter of the Rams' 24-22 win, Bailey dropped to the turf and acted as if he was going to sleep with the football under his helmet as a pillow.

Bailey's actions didn't draw a penalty during the game, but using the ball as a prop apparently will cost him.

"Ahhhhhh #NFL Fines suck!!!!! I meant no harm by what I did... Smh" Bailey tweeted Tuesday night. "How u sign up for go fund me? Lol this is bogus man!"

Bailey then deleted the tweets from his account.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher said he spoke with Bailey about the situation after the game.

"He used the ball as a prop," Fisher said. "It's a foul. It's a 15-yard penalty and you're kicking off from the 15-yard line and that's not part of what we do."
