No one else was injured when the man fell during a game against the New York Yankees, who beat the Braves 3-1. He received emergency medical treatment for about 10 minutes and was given CPR before being taken to Grady Hospital.

Witnesses said the man was shouting at Alex Rodriguez when the Yankees slugger came to the plate in the seventh, lost his balance and fell about 50 feet below to the concrete. The game continued while the man, identified by an usher as a season ticket-holder, was treated.

"We have received confirmation that the fan involved in an accident at this evening's game has passed away," the Braves said in a statement after the game. "The Atlanta Braves offer their deepest condolences to the family."

The fatality was the third at Turner Field. In 2013, Ronald Lee Homer Jr., 30, died after a fall during a game against the Philadelphia Phillies. On 2008, Justin Hayes, 25, died of head injuries after a fall down a stairwell during a game against the New York Mets.
