Arizona Cardinals activate TE Jermaine Gresham

The Arizona Cardinals activated veteran tight end Jermaine Gresham on Monday from the physically unable to perform list.

Gresham, who had back surgery during the offseason, signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals last week.

Gresham had played his entire career with the Cincinnati Bengals, recording 62 catches for 460 yards and five touchdowns in 2014. In five seasons with the Bengals, he had 280 receptions for 2,722 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The Cardinals also activated tight end Troy Niklas (hamstring) from the non-football injury list. He caught three passes for 38 yards in seven games with the Cardinals last season.
