Joseph, who was the Spurs' first-round pick in 2011 and was part of the 2014 NBA title team, tweeted: "A sincere thank-you to all the fans, RC, Coach Pop and the entire Spurs organization for all the support over the last four years. SA will always be close to my heart. Had my first game and first championship here! ThankYou NextChapter"

Joseph, 23, averaged 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season. The Spurs had rescinded their qualifying offer for Joseph on Sunday, making him an unrestricted free agent.

NBA deals officially can be signed on Thursday.
