The Sacramento Kings unloaded the contracts of Carl Landry and Jason Thompson and parted with 2014 first-round draft pick Nik Stauskas on Wednesday night in a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

In addition to the three players, the 76ers will receive a protected first-round draft pick from the Kings and the right to swap picks in the first round of two other drafts, Grantland.com reported.

In return, the Kings received the rights to overseas players.

The move helps the Kings clear salary cap space to pursue swingman Wesley Matthews, guard Monta Ellis and other free agents.

Landry is to receive $6.5 million in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Thompson's salary will be $6,752,813 next year because of a trade kicker and $2,650,000 is guarantee.

Stauskas, 21, played in 73 games as a rookie in 2014-15 and averaged 4.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

The 31-year-old Landry played in 70 games last season and averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds. The 6-foot-11 Thompson saw action in 81 games, averaging 6.1 points and 6.5 rebounds.
