Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run double for the Tigers and J.D. Martinez homered in a third consecutive game, launching a two-run shot.

Cincinnati starting pitcher Jon Moscot left in the first inning with a dislocated left shoulder.

Making his third MLB start and first on the road, Moscot faced just three batters before suffering the injury while applying a tag during a rundown.

Anthony Gose was on second base with one out when Cabrera hit a comebacker that was snared by Moscot, who chased Gose back to second. The 23- year-old righty dived and placed the tag on Gose as he slid into and then past the bag at second.

Moscot, who landed hard on his left shoulder, was replaced by right-hander Pedro Villarreal (0-1), who gave up three hits in 3 1/3 innings.

An error led to the first Detroit run. Yoenis Cespedes lined a two-out double off Villarreal in the fourth. Martinez then hit a grounder to third baseman Todd Frazier, whose errant throw to first allowed Cespedes to score.

The Tigers increased their lead with a four-run sixth against Nate Adcock, who walked the first two batters. Cabrera then doubled to left field and scored on a one-out blast to right-center field by Martinez.

Cespedes added an RBI single in the seventh.
