Six schools advance to NCAA Super Regionals

Arkansas, Florida, Virginia, Louisville, Cal State Fullerton and Missouri State each advanced to the Super Regionals in the NCAA baseball tournament on Sunday.

Arkansas won all three of its games this weekend at the Stillwater Regional and advanced with a 4-3 victory over St. John's, which had eliminated host Oklahoma State earlier in the day with a 2-1 win.

Florida hosted the Gainesville Regional and also went unbeaten during the weekend to advance. The Gators edged Florida Atlantic, 2-1, on Sunday to move on in the tournament.

Virginia captured the Santa Barbara Regional with a 14-10 victory over Southern California in 11 innings. The Cavaliers didn't lose this weekend, beating USC twice, including a 6-1 triumph to open the regional on Friday.

Louisville finished off an unbeaten weekend at home with a 13-4 rout of Michigan. The Cardinals had beaten the Wolverines on Saturday, 4-3, and Michigan then edged Bradley to set up another unsuccessful matchup with the host team.

Cal State Fullerton followed up its 14-inning win over Arizona State from Saturday with a 10-1 rout of Pepperdine on Sunday to win the Fullerton Regional. Arizona State couldn't recover from the 3-2 loss to the Titans on Saturday, dropping a 7-4 decision to Pepperdine earlier on Sunday.

Missouri State won the Springfield Regional with a 3-2 victory over Iowa on Sunday to advance.

There will be 10 more regional winners decided Monday before next weekend's eight Super Regional matchups are determined.
