Stanley Cup Finals start Wednesday

The 2015 Stanley Cup Finals will start next Wednesday, June 3.

The NHL announced the schedule for the series on Thursday, but don't yet know who will play for the championship.

The Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers will play Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals on Friday before the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks meet in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals on Saturday.

After the Cup Finals opener on Wednesday, Game 2 will be Saturday, June 6. Game 3 will be Monday, June 8 and Game 4 will be Wednesday, June 10.

If necessary, Game 5 would be Saturday, June 13, followed by a potential Game 6 on Monday June 15. If a seventh game is required, it would be Wednesday, June 17.

The start time for each game will be 8 p.m. ET.
