The only three-time 2,000-yard rusher in Division I history hopes to have a running start in the NFL
Going undrafted can be an advantage for some players because they can pick a team that offers a favorable situation for them. South Dakota State's Zach Zenner hopes that opportunity will come from the Detroits Lion after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent.
NFL teams have been busy agreeing to terms with undrafted free agents since the end of the three-day event Saturday evening.
Zenner went over 2,000 yards in each of his final three seasons with at SDSU, finishing with 6,548 career rushing yards - a Missouri Valley Football Conference record and the third-best total in FCS history.
