BMW Open final pushed to Monday

Andy Murray will have to wait another day for a crack at his first career clay-court title.

Sunday's final at the BMW Open in Germany between Murray and Philipp Kohlschreiber was delayed, then suspended because of rain.

Kohlschreiber, a two-time Munich winner, was ahead 3-2 in the first set after 23 minutes of play. The start was delayed about four hours.

Weather has wreaked havoc this week, as Friday's entire quarterfinal schedule was pushed back to Saturday because of rain. Both the quarterfinals and semifinals were completed Saturday.

The top-seeded Murray is playing in his first career clay-court final. He had dropped his previous five semifinal matches on the slow surface, with four of the losses coming against clay king Rafael Nadal.

Kohlschreiber, seeded fifth this week, won this title in 2007 and 2012. The German also lost to countryman Tommy Haas in the 2013 final.
