Katie Douglas, a five-time WNBA All-Star, announced her retirement Friday after a 14-year career.
The 34-year-old veteran is the eighth-leading scorer in WNBA history and won a league title in 2012 with Indiana.
Douglas entered the league in 2001 with the Orlando Miracle and played two seasons in Florida before the franchise relocated to Connecticut. She spent five years with the Sun, then was traded to Indiana before the 2008 season and played six years with the Fever before rejoining Connecticut in 2014.
The Purdue product averaged 13.2 points for the Sun in her return.
Douglas, the 2006 All-Star Game MVP, averaged 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in her WNBA career. She was an All-WNBA selection from 2006-07 and 2009-10.
