Allen started four of the 16 games he played for Pittsburgh last season, notching 36 tackles with a forced fumble. The 11-year veteran has six interceptions and 329 tackles in 163 career regular-season games with the Steelers, Cowboys and Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay selected Allen in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft and he spent his first six seasons with the Bucs. He first joined the Steelers for the 2010 season and remained in Pittsburgh through 2012 before signing with Dallas as a free agent.

The Cowboys released the Ohio State product after just five games in 2013 and he immediately rejoined the Steelers.
