NHL Game Summary - Edmonton at Colorado

For the second time in less than a week, the lowly Edmonton Oilers delivered a huge blow to the Colorado Avalanche's playoff hopes.

Richard Bachman made 29 saves, Andrew Miller collected three assists and the Oilers posted a 4-1 win over the Avalanche at Pepsi Center.

Ryan O'Reilly scored a goal to extend his point streak to a career-high eight games, but the Avalanche were unable to close the gap on Winnipeg for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. They remain eight points back of the idle Jets with six games remaining.

Semyon Varlamov stopped 32 shots for Colorado, which lost 4-3 at Edmonton last Wednesday.
