Cousins, Sacramento Kings top Phoenix Suns

DeMarcus Cousins had 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Phoenix Suns 108-99 on Wednesday night.

Rudy Gay posted 14 points and five assists and Nik Stauskas added 13 points off the bench for the Kings, who have won four straight on the heels of a four-game losing skid.

Markieff Morris supplied 24 points and seven rebounds, while Marcus Morris and Eric Bledsoe added 19 points apiece for Phoenix, which had its four-game winning streak snapped.

After Markieff Morris' 3-pointer cut the Suns' deficit to 72-68 late in the third quarter, Sacramento closed the frame on an 11-2 run.

A Stauskas triple preceded a Rudy Gay reverse layup, which capped the surge and give the Kings an 83-70 advantage heading into the fourth.

Phoenix never got within less than five in the final frame.

Earlier, the Kings led 31-26 following a quarter of play and 58-53 at the break.
