Atletico, Real Madrid to meet in UCL quarterfinals

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will square off in a rematch of last year's Champions League final as the two La Liga sides were drawn against one another in Friday's quarterfinal draw.

Real Madrid fell behind in last year's finale but stormed back to claim an emphatic 4-1 victory after extra time, landing the club its 10th European Cup title.

It is, however, one of the few bright spots for the Merengues in an otherwise poor run of recent results against their bitter city rivals.

The two Madrid clubs have met six times already this term with Atletico topping Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup, eliminating the Galacticos from the Copa del Rey and defeating Carlo Ancelotti's men twice in La Liga action.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain has been draw against Barcelona after the two clubs dispatched Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively.

It will be a rematch of the 2013 Champions League quarterfinal that saw Barcelona progress to the semifinals only to be trounced by eventual champion Bayern Munich.

Bayern, meanwhile, will face FC Porto in this season's quarterfinals as the Bundesliga club seeks its second Champions League crown in three years.

Finally, AS Monaco, after surviving a late scare against Arsenal, will take on a Juventus side that eased past Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16.
