Reid Brignac went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Miami Marlins over the New York Mets, 13-2, in Grapefruit League action on Monday.

Jordany Valdespin added two hits, three RBI and two runs scored for the Marlins, who blew this one open early on by touching New York starter Zack Wheeler for six runs.

Wheeler, making his spring debut, allowed just two hits, walked two and struck out three in 1 2/3 innings.

David Phelps started for the Marlins and allowed just one run on three hits in three innings.

Matt den Dekker went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for the Mets.
