BYU ends No. 3 Gonzaga's 41-game home win streak

Kyle Collinsworth finished with 20 points and eight rebounds as BYU pulled off a memorable upset over third-ranked Gonzaga for a 73-70 win on Saturday.

Gonzaga suffered just its second loss of the season and had three lengthy winning streaks come to an end.

The Bulldogs entered the game with a school-record 22 straight wins, the nation's longest home winning streak at 41 games in a row and 22 consecutive conference victories.

Skyler Halford scored 14 points, while Chase Fischer and Tyler Haws netted 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Cougars (23-8, 13-5 WCC), who won their first game over a team ranked third or higher since a win over No. 2 UCLA on Nov. 27, 1981.

Byron Wesley paced Gonzaga (29-2. 17-1) with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Domantas Sabonis scored 12 with eight boards in the loss.
