NCAA Game Summary - Texas-San Antonio at Louisiana Tech

Erik McCree led the Bulldogs with 16 points as Louisiana Tech clinched at least a share of the Conference USA regular season title with a 76-66 win over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Alex Hamilton had 15 points, while Raheem Appleby and Kenneth Smith chipped in 12 points apiece for the Bulldogs (23-7, 14-3 C-USA), who have now won six of their last seven games. Smith also dealt out seven assists and Michale Kyser posted 10 points and a team-best eight rebounds.

Keon Lewis paced UTSA (13-14, 7-9) with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-24 shooting from the floor. Jeromie Hill registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Ryan Bowie also netted 12 points. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman chipped in 10 points and seven boards for the Roadrunners as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss.

Louisiana Tech took a 34-25 lead into halftime after it knocked down 40.6 percent of its field goal attempts in the first period. The Roadrunners were limited to 34.6 percent efficiency from the floor and committed 11 turnovers before the break.

UTSA heated up to sink 48.6 percent of its attempts from the field in the second stanza. The Bulldogs did a great job of sharing the ball after halftime, as they assisted 10 of their 16 makes from the floor and converted all seven of their free-throw tries.

Despite the loss, UTSA finished with a 39-32 advantage in total rebounds.
