Lions bring back LS Muhlbach

Longtime Detroit Lions long snapper Don Muhlbach will return for a 12th season with the club after agreeing to a one- year contract on Friday.

Muhlbach has served as the Lions' snapper for 164 games since originally joining the team midway through the 2004 season. The reliable veteran is the longest-tenured player on Detroit's current roster, with center Dominic Raiola presently a free agent.

The 33-year-old was named to the NFC roster for the 2012 Pro Bowl as a need player.
