The Oakland Raiders named former Cowboys and 49ers linebacker Ken Norton Jr. as their new defensive coordinator on Friday.
Norton arrives after spending the last five seasons as the linebackers coach for the Seattle Seahawks and mentoring Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith. Prior to that, he spent six seasons as a coach with Southern California, guiding such current NFL talent as Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews and Rey Maualuga.

The 48-year-old UCLA product was a second-round pick of Dallas in 1988, and won three Super Bowls over a 13-year career with the Cowboys and 49ers.
