San Antonio Spurs' Belinelli to defend 3-point title

Marco Belinelli will defend his title in the Three-Point Contest during the NBA's All-Star festivities at Barclays Center in Brooklyn next week.

Belinelli will try to become the first repeat winner of the event since Jason Kapono in 2007-08, but will face a talented field that includes Golden State Warriors teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Also entered in next Saturday's contest are Atlanta's Kyle Korver, the NBA's leading 3-point shooter; 2013 champion Kyrie Irving of Cleveland, All-Star James Harden of Houston, Portland's Wesley Matthews, and J.J. Redick from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Curry will also participate in the Shooting Stars competition alongside his father, former NBA star Dell, and Sue Bird of the WNBA's Seattle Storm.

Miami's Chris Bosh, an All-Star for a 10th consecutive season, and teammates Dominique Wilkins and Swin Cash of the New York Liberty will try to win the event for a third straight year.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will compete with Scottie Pippen and Elena Delle Donne of the Chicago Sky, while Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook's team will include Penny Hardaway and Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever.

The Skills Challenge will feature defending co-champion Trey Burke of Utah, Chicago's Jimmy Butler, Philadelphia's Michael Carter-Williams, Milwaukee's Brandon Knight, Toronto's Kyle Lowry, Atlanta's Jeff Teague, Phoenix's Isaiah Thomas and Washington's John Wall.
