LAS VEGAS, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus committed to the UCLA Bruins Wednesday, causing his father to switch loyalty from the USC Trojans.

Broadus had a highly visible recruitment due to his father's fame but has been sought out by several schools for his great talent on the field. He picked UCLA from his top four choices which included Arizona State, LSU and USC -- his father's favorite. He also received offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Baylor, Nebraska and Miami.

"Cordell doesn't want to be known as Snoop Dogg's son," said a former coach for Broadus. "He wants to be known as Cordell Broadus, blue-chip wide receiver. He's very humble. He just enjoys playing football. Last year he was really shy. This year, he's more talkative. The kids are liking him more and more."

He picked UCLA but that just meant Snoop Dogg is switching teams.

"I'm throwing all my USC draw's away. I'm 100,000 percent UCLA now," he told ESPN.
