Budenholzer, Kerr named NBA's top coaches for January

Mike Budenholzer and Steve Kerr, whose teams currently own the NBA's best records, have been chosen as the NBA's January Coaches of the Month.

Budenholzer claimed his third consecutive Eastern Conference monthly award after his Atlanta Hawks went a perfect 17-0 in January. It's the first time in league history a team has won that many games without a loss in a single month.

The Hawks are currently riding a franchise-record 19-game winning streak and own victories in 33 of their last 35 outings while topping the NBA with a 40-8 overall mark.

Kerr guided the Golden State Warriors to a 12-3 record in January to earn the nod for the Western Conference. The Warriors presently pace the West with a 37-8 mark, the club's best ever after 45 games.

Budenholzer and Kerr will serve as the head coaches for the upcoming All-Star Game, which will take place on Feb. 15 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
