NCAA Game Summary - Utah State at San Diego State

Aqeel Quinn netted 15 points to pace the San Diego State Aztecs past the Utah State Aggies, 62-42, in a Mountain West Conference showdown at Viejas Arena.

Malik Pope came off the bench to chip in 13 points for San Diego State (17-5, 7-2 MWC), which has won six of its last seven matchups. Skylar Spencer contributed eight points and seven rebounds in the win.

Jalen Moore narrowly missed a double-double for Utah State (12-9, 5-4) with 13 points and nine rebounds. The Aggies have lost two of their last three games played.

Neither team shot the ball well in the opening half. San Diego State went into haltime leading 21-14 after connecting on 33.3 percent of its shots, while Utah State made a dismal 28.6 percent from the floor, including 2-of-7 from 3- point range.

The Aztecs boosted their shooting touch in the second half to 51.6 percent, adding in a 6-of-10 mark from beyond the arc. The Aggies could only increase their shooting touch to 29.6 percent from the field, as San Diego State cruised to the easy victory.

San Diego State held a 28-12 advantage in scoring in the paint, and owned a 26-11 edge in bench scoring over Utah State in the win.
