NCAA Game Summary - Dayton at Massachusetts

Cady Lalanne scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Massachusetts Minutemen defeated the Dayton Flyers, 66-64, in an Atlantic 10 Conference tilt at the Mullins Center.

Trey Davis added 15 points for the Minutemen (11-9, 4-3 A-10). Maxie Esho chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds as UMass has now won two of the last three.

As for the Flyers (16-4, 6-2), Jordan Sibert scored 19 points and Kendall Pollard added 12. Dyshawn Pierre accounted for 13 rebounds, seven points and seven assists.

The Flyers shot 45.2 percent from the field and connected on 5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc in the first half. The Minutemen converted 48.5 percent from the field and scored 24 points in the paint, en route to a slim 36-34 lead at the break.

In the second half both teams shot 42.3 percent from the field but Massachusetts converted on 8-of-10 free throws in order to hold on for the close call.

UMass outscored Dayton 44-32 in the paint. The Minutemen bench outscored the Flyers reserves as well, 17-8.
