CLEVELAND, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- In a season in which he is averaging the fewest minutes of his career, LeBron James has played in just 37 of the Cleveland Cavaliers 47 games. James averaged 76.5 games per season before returning to Cleveland. After sitting out the Cavs 99-94 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, James is now doubtful for Friday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

James has battled knee and back trouble for most of the season, but sat out Wednesday with a sprained wrist.

James is averaging 26.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game this season. The Cavs are 25-12 with James in the lineup this season. Coach David Blatt called James an MVP candidate Tuesday.
