NCAA Game Summary - Stanford at Washington

Anthony Brown scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds as his Stanford Cardinal outlasted the Washington Huskies in a Pac-12 Conference battle, 84-74, at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Chasson Randle tallied 20 points, five rebounds and five assists for Stanford (15-5, 6-2 Pac-12), which has won five of its last six games played. Stefan Nastic added 17 points, and Marcus Allen chipped in with 12 points before fouling out.

Nigel Williams-Goss scored 17 points, pulled down seven boards and dished out seven assists to pace Washington (14-6, 3-5). Mike Anderson contributed 16 points, Quevyn Winters added 13, Shawn Kemp Jr. tallied 12 points and Darin Johnson collected 10 in the defeat for the Huskies, who have dropped two decisions in a row.

Stanford was on fire offensively in the first half. The visitors connected on 55.6 percent of their tries from the floor, and took a 36-24 advantage into the midway break. Washington shot just 34.6 percent from the field, missing all five of its 3-point tries in the frame.

The Huskies upped their scoring attack in the second half behind 60 percent shooting. But the Cardinal didn't dip much in terms of production, netting 50 percent of their attempts in the period, adding in 16-of-23 from the free- throw line to maintain a healthy lead until the end.

Stanford held a 19-9 advantage in points off turnovers in the contest, and outscored the Huskies, 24-12, from beyond the arc in the win.
