Monmouth readying for 2015 season

Monmouth's football program will play an FBS opponent for the first time as part of its 11-game 2015 schedule.

The Hawks will travel to Central Michigan on Sept. 12 to face a Mid-American Conference team that finished 7-6 this past season, including a trip to the Popeye's Bahamas Bowl.

The rest of Monmouth's schedule will be against FCS competition as the Hawks play their second season in the Big South Conference. They finished 6-5 overall and 1-4 in conference play in 2014.

The Hawks will play home games against Holy Cross (Sept. 5) and Bryant (Oct. 3) in addition to Big South members Liberty (Oct. 17), Coastal Carolina (Oct. 24) and Presbyterian (Nov. 14).
