Bears sign C Garza to 1-year extension

The Chicago Bears signed center Roberto Garza to a one-year contract extension on Friday.

Garza started all 11 games he played this season, his 10th with Chicago.

The 35-year-old veteran has started 175 of 205 career games over 14 seasons for the Bears and Falcons.

Garza played four seasons for the Falcons (2001-04), who selected him in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
