NCAA Game Summary - Colorado at Hawaii

Negus Webster-Chan hit the go-ahead jumper with 22.6 seconds remaining to boost Hawaii to a 69-66 win over Colorado in the third-place game of the Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Isaac Fleming led the way with 18 points for the Warriors (10-4), who were extremely close to playing for the tournament title. They were edged out by 11th-ranked Wichita State on Tuesday in the semifinals, 80-79 in overtime. Webster-Chan and Garrett Nevels each added 12 points for Hawaii.

Josh Scott had 23 points and Askia Booker scored 22 for the Buffaloes (7-5), who also received 15 points from Xavier Johnson.

Webster-Chan's floater in the lane gave the Warriors a 67-66 lead, and Roderick Bobbitt then stole the ball from Booker. Bobbitt made two free throws with 17.2 seconds left.

Johnson missed a 3-point try, but Fleming failed to connect on a 1-and-1 situation in the closing seconds. Colorado's final attempt to the tie never materialized.

Colorado scored 12 in a row during the second half to grab a 62-58 lead, but ultimately lost this game in bench play. Hawaii's reserves outscored Colorado's, 30-4.
