Red Wings end skid with 5 unanswered goals against Sabres

Tomas Tatar scored twice as the Detroit Red Wings' offense came alive by scoring five unanswered goals to end a six-game slump with a 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.

Henrik Zetterberg and Danny DeKeyser each finished with a goal and assist, Stephen Weiss and Johan Franzen also scored and Gustav Nyquist supplied three assists for the Red Wings, who matched their total goal output over their losing streak.

Detroit's power-play unit converted on 4-of-6 opportunities and Petr Mrazek stopped 13-of-16 shots in the win.

Nicolas Deslauriers, Chris Stewart and Andre Benoit all lit the lamp for Buffalo, which dropped its fourth straight game.

Michal Neuvirth allowed all six goals on 39 shots in defeat.
