NCAA Game Summary - Illinois-Chicago at Northwestern

Bryant McIntosh scored 22 points to lead Northwestern over Illinois-Chicago 63-47 on Monday.

Alex Olah added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (8-4), who have won two straight and three of four after losing three in a row.

D'Juan Miller had 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds for the Flames (3-10), who have lost three straight and six of seven.

Northwestern put the game away in the first half, scoring 16 of the first 18 points and never looking back. McIntosh, who scored 10 points in the opening half, capped the surge with a jumper at the 12:57 mark for the 16-2 cushion.

The lead later ballooned to 18 points when Tre Demps' layup with 4:27 remaining gave the Wildcats a 25-7 advantage and Northwestern cruised to the break with a 31-16 lead.

The Flames tried to make it interesting in the second half, drawing within 45-38 after Jason McClellan drained a 3-pointer with 6:48 left, but couldn't get any closer.
