Nick Novak kicked a 40-yard field goal in overtime after the San Diego Chargers recovered a fumble, capping a wild 38-35 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night.
The Chargers trailed by 21 points at halftime and 14 entering the fourth quarter after Colin Kaepernick's 90-yard touchdown run for the 49ers.

But Philip Rivers led two Chargers scoring drives in the last nine minutes of regulation, forcing overtime with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Malcom Floyd with 29 seconds remaining.
San Diego safety Eric Weddle forced a fumble when he stripped wide receiver Quinton Patton on a 20-yard end-around, and Novak split the uprights for the win.
