LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant used some colorful and creative language during a media-covered scrimmage practice Thursday, calling his teammates "soft like toilet paper."

"You mother[expletive] are soft like Charmin in this mother[expletive]. God damn, is this the type of [expletive] that's going on in these practices? Now I see why we've lost 20 [expletive] games. We're soft like Charmin. We're soft like [expletive]," Bryant told his team.

Charmin was flattered by the compliment, but said it thought its softness is better suited off the court.

Bryant and Nick Young started trading barbs at the beginning of the practice, but Bryant said they have been trading trash talk since Monday.

"No, I was just being myself," Bryant said. "I don't know if it helps them, but it obviously raises the intensity level. It was a tough practice for them ... It's really good for Nick, aside from the fun of bantering back and forth and the trash talk, just fundamentally some of the techniques and things that I use. He gets a chance to really see up close those little tricks."
