NCAA Game Summary - Baylor vs. Memphis

Taurean Prince tallied 20 points as the Baylor Bears dominated the Memphis Tigers, 71-47, as part of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bears (5-0) was Royce O'Neale with 16 points as he and Prince combined to make 8-of-13 shots from behind the 3-point line on the night. Rico Gathers came up two points shy of a double-double as he cleared 11 rebounds.

The Tigers (1-2) didn't have a single starter score in double figures, instead it was reserve Pookie Powell who dropped in 13 points as he converted 4-of-10 shots from the field.

Baylor opened the meeting on an 8-0 run, but the Tigers did not go away quietly. In fact, Memphis actually held a 32-29 advantage at the break thanks to 5-of-9 shooting on the perimeter.

However, it was a much different story for the Tigers in the second half as they sank a grand total of just four field goals, allowing the Bears to run away with the comfortable victory.

Memphis finished the night with almost as many turnovers (14) as field goals (16).

Both teams will be back in action on Friday in the championship round as the Bears take on Illinois in the late game and the Tigers match up against Indiana State.
