NCAA Game Summary - Alabama State vs. North Dakota

Jaron Nash netted 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double as the University of North Dakota outlasted the Alabama State Hornets, 75-68, in the University of Utah Thanksgiving Tournament at Huntsman Center.

Lenny Antwi chipped in with 14 points for North Dakota (2-2), while Chad Calcaterra added 10 points in the win. The teams will play again in the round- robin tournament on Friday.

Jamel Waters scored 15 points to pace Alabama State (1-2), and Luther Page tallied a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. DeMarcus Robinson added 13 points, and Wendell Lewis accounted for 10 points and five boards in the defeat.

North Dakota shot 42.4 percent from the field in the first half, and took a commanding 42-21 lead into the intermission. Alabama State hit a dismal 30.8 percent of its shots in the period.

The Hornets raised their game in the second half and shot 47.4 percent, while North Dakota dipped its shooting accuracy down to 34.4 percent. Alabama State outscored UND in the half, 47-33, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

North Dakota held a slight advantage at the free-throw line, 16-10, and outscored the Hornets from 3-point distance, 27-18.
