LAS VEGAS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- When retired Yankees great Derek Jeter goes looking for a golf game on a Saturday, he doesn't play with just anyone. He plays with President Barack Obama.

Jeter joined POTUS at the exclusive Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas. Stephen Cloobeck, a Las Vegas businessman and big Democratic donor, and Brian Greenspun, editor and publisher of the Las Vegas Sun rounded out the foursome.

The course is considered one of the most exclusive in the country. It is located beside the 330-acre Lake Las Vegas, which was created by damming the Colorado River. It reopened three weeks ago after being shuttered for five years due to the recession and water prices.

Obama was in Las Vegas on Friday to deliver a speech about his immigration initiative. He apparently stayed the weekend to get in some golf.
