NCAA Game Summary - The Citadel vs. Air Force

Led by 16 points from Max Yon, the Air Force Falcons downed The Citadel Bulldogs, 68-54, in the third-place game of the All-Military Classic at Christl Arena.

For the Falcons (1-1), Justin Hammonds and Hayden Graham each chipped in with nine points. Marek Olesinski and Kamryn Williams each pulled down seven rebounds for Air Force.

Marshall Harris III led the Bulldogs (0-2) with 16 points, while Ashton Moore added 10 points.

The Falcons took a 29-24 lead into halftime by shooting 63.2 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range. The Bulldogs were held to just 43.5 percent shooting and 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. The Falcons used a 14-0 run in the opening minutes to take the early lead.

Air Force stayed hot from the field in the second half, making 50 percent of its field goal attempts and 4-of-10 from 3-point distance. The Citadel still had trouble finding the bottom of the net after the break, making only 39.3 percent of its field goal tries and just 2-of-9 from 3-point range. The Falcons opened the second half on a 13-5 run to push their lead to 13 points with six minutes gone in the second. The Bulldogs got no closer than seven points the rest of the way, as the Falcons came away with the victory.

Air Force dominated the boards, outrebounding The Citadel, 34-22. The Falcons did commit 18 turnovers to just 11 miscues for the Bulldogs.
